Pioneer Bd Rom Bdc Td01 Driver For Mac Free

Just bought a new blu ray drive for my 5k retina iMac. Connected with USB cable. It reads the disc but gives me an error of 'Protection Key Exchange Failure.' I've been reading through these forums and it appears that this error can occur when reading a disc with a higher AACS version than MakeMKV supports.

Mac

But these are old discs (Wall-E, Cars, and Ironman). The error says highest version is v7.

Pioneer bd rom bdc td01 driver for mac os

I'm using MakeMKV 1.9.9. So not sure what the issue is.

Any ideas on what I should do to troubleshoot? Error message in full below. Code: MakeMKV v1.9.9 darwin(x86-release) started Optical drive 'BD-RE PIONEER BD-ROM BDC-TD01 0.38d' opened in OS access mode. MakeMKV requires no additional libraries to rip DVDs and Blurays. In fact, one library that comes with it for the Mac does not normally install itself, because it is only needed in certain circumstances, and the install will let you know if you need it.

The log indicates it is a Pioneer drive, nothing very special except that it MAY have a speed limit built in for ripping, but that would not stop it from doing the AACS exchange. Someone with direct Mac experience will need to chime in here, because I can't give specific advice on how to make sure MakeMKV's getting full access to the drive. It may be an issue with how the drive presented itself to OS X; I assume you've rebooted the computer at least once since the drive was added, correct?
