In your.minecraft folder is a new folder named 'resourcepacks' Its usefull to use the tool from the blog post: Convert a Texturepack with it and move the folder thet will be created by it into the 'resourcepacks' folder. If you want to add music to your Texturepack / Resourcepack just go into the Folder that you have moved a few seconds ago und go into 'assets' than 'minecraft' an add a folder named 'sound', 'music' and 'records'.
