  1. Tascam Us-122mkii Audio Interface Driver 2.10 For Mac Download

Tascam US-122mkII I have one of the new Tascam US-122mkII interfaces, and I cannot get any response out of it. I am using a MacBook, 10.5.8. When I connect the USB the lights flash on momentarily, but then all go out, as other people have reported with the 'l' version, but the phantom power light still comes on, so there is power. Have tried using a Belkin powered USB hub, still no response, Have tried with the seemingly updated driver on the Tascam website, and with the driver that came on the CD-rom with the device, and all possible combinations of driver/hub, everytime removing all tascam documentation and applications from the machine before re-installing. Don't know what else to try, has anyone got any suggestions? Just to clarify, Tascam does not appear in system prefs, Logic or Garageband. The USB light flickers on for a second but does NOT say lit up.

This will help if you installed an incorrect or mismatched driver. Problems can arise when your hardware device is too old or not supported any longer. US-122MKII Interface Driver US-122MKII Audio Interface Driver TASCAM US-122MKII Interface Driver US-122MKII TASCAM MIDI Audio Interface.

The only place that it shows up is in system profiler, under the USB hub it is connected to, which i guess is promising. Tascam us 122 mk II Hi, I have a MacBook 10.5.6 and just bought the new Tascam US 122 MKII.

I'm new to both pieces but read manuals and still having problems. Definitely not user friendly. The Tascam came highly recommended. I was in and recording my guitar an hour ago but I couldn't monitor it through the headphones in the Mac. The vu meters were moving to what I was playing.

Can't find my way back to that point. Couldn't monitor playback through either the Tascam or the Mac. Was in preferences and selected Tascam as output as they say to do. I figure I'm missing something simple. Can't use the cubase le4 Mac spits the disk out after 60 seconds.

A pc accepted it. The store is sending me another disk for cubase hey say they tried on a mac. I just want to get in to garage band and lay some demos down and use the line 6 pod tone library, and may be do some live recording of our band. I'm about 10 hours in to messing with this with no success. Click to expand. You may have tried this, but it caused me some confusion: The Input/Computer dial should be turned all the way to computer to hear what the Mac is putting out. I've had the most luck getting the thing up and running this way: -plug in the interface with GarageBand closed all the way.choose the US-122 as input and output in the System Preferences/Sound settings -open GarageBand -You should be able to choose US-122L Mono 1 (or Mono 2) as the input for your real instrument. Make sure you choose whichever one has the guitar plugged into it.

(Probably Mono 2).Make sure Monitor is set to On or On with Feedback Protection.turn the Input dials on the Tascam up high. I don't know if it's the fault of the driver or what, but the input volume, esp. For a mic plugged in, is waaaay too low. At this point the Tascam does not seem to be a good match for the Mac. I can use mine, but I'm certain I can do better with another interface (I just can't afford to replace it right now). Tascam claimed they were going to release a 64-bit driver by the end of January, but I'm not holding my breath. If you read this thread, you'll also see that some insist you need a powered USB hub since the new Macs don't give as much juice through the USB as other machines.

I bought a powered hub, though, and it didn't seem to make much of a difference. Good luck-I share your frustration. Tascam US 122MKII problem After following the advice on this thread I get the 122MKII working through Garage Band with a guitar and mic I try to hook up my Line 6 Pod ver2. I want to access the Tone Library.

For some reason part of the information comes through the three devices but ultimately, the POD version is not recognized or the 'no device connected' (Meaning the POD) comes up. And then I go in circles refeshing, making sure the midi in and out are all connected properly. On the LIne 6 support site they just tell you to go out and buy an M-audio UNO 1x1 midi interface for $39. I've asked why won't the Tascam work. Contacted Tascam. Been waiting. I'm thinking my $149 Tascam should work, especially since the music store swore it would be great.

All I'm trying to do is access Line 6's Tone Library-guarded like Fort Knox even if you own a Line 6 device. No probelms with audio, just the midi data sharing. Yet more us-122 problems with a mac Here's my problem, folks. I've had a Tascam US-122 for about 6-7 years, and was always able to use it with a MacBook Pro and an older iMac (with GarageBand in all cases). Recently I bought a new iMac. It's got an Intel Core Duo 2 chip set and I'm running OS X 10.6.2. I've also gotten the latest drivers from the Tascam site, uninstalled all the US-122 stuff on my machine, and installed the newer stuff.

Now, what happens when I fire up my mini-recording studio with the US-122? The device is recognized, the green USB light on the box is lit, and when I plug in my condenser mics with the phantom power on, I do get indications of a signal on the individual channel (i.e., green light plus even a red overload light when I whistle too loud). But either nothing gets fed into GarageBand, or I get weird stuttery little scraps of recorded sound-garble, really.

It may be that the interface is old and broken, but given the widespread problems, I wondered if anybody would recognize this glitch in particular. Click to expand.I have a US-122 bought in 2004. Can you please clarify which 'latest drivers' you installed? On this Tascam page for the, the driver install packages that download in 'v. 3.40 Mac OS X Universal Binary Driver for Intel & PPC Apple Mac Computers' are dated 2006-Mar-9. On this Tascam page for the, the driver install packages that download in 'Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard driver ver 2.00 (32-bit) for US-122mkII and US-144mkII' are dated 2009-Dec-15.

Using Pacifist to look at the contents of the MKII package, it looks to me like the install generally supports all US1xx devices, and therefore the original US-122 should be covered. However, the Control Panel package doesn't include a png file specifically for the US-122. It has one for the US-122L - maybe meant to be 'close enough' for US-122 devices? By the way, drilling down shows that the kernel extension is named TASCAMUS1xxTiger. The file date is 2009-Dec-15, but seeing 'Tiger' doesn't give warm fuzzies about Tascam's commitment to the Mac platform as it evolves! Giving those MKII drivers a shot, thanks Hi sailmac, and many thanks for the reply. By 'latest drivers,' I meant the 3.40 version that apparently dates from 2006 (not so recent after all).

I guess I have nothing to lose by trying the 122MKII drivers as you suggested, do I? So that will be my next step. I'll let you know what happens-it would be nice to get another year or so of use out of my US-122 before it entirely drops dead. At that point, it's time for, what-Digidesign?

PS: Well, I downloaded the driver and it didn't work. I also attempted the firmware upgrade, but since no 122MKII was detectable on my system, no dice. Cdma workshop free download for mac. Am I out of luck? Seems like a shame. Click to expand.Dang! Maybe a minor hope, but did you remove the old USB122 receipts from /Library/Receipts? The old uninstaller doesn't grab those, and pkgutil will complain (along with other programs invoking pkgutil, for example VMware Fusion) about missing bundle identifiers.

Perhaps a slim chance that this interferes with the new drivers. If I get a chance to exercise my USB-122 with SL and the newer drivers I'll post back. Just now I am chasing some other issues.

But if it can't be made to work, then I'm in the same boat as you in terms of looking for a replacement. I'm getting a message from garage band that says it's having trouble synchronizing my midi and audio. And this: Sample Rate 28869 recognized. Check conflict between GarageBand and external device. I have os10.5 leopard the newest ish. With ilife 09 and garage band 09. It recognizes the tascam as i can select it as my output and input audio but it plays choppy if at all.

And the error message continues to pop up. I downloaded new drivers. Have a powered usb hub. Solution for TASCAM US-122 I solved this problem buying the foilowing cable at Radio Shack: Gigaware® USB 4-Port Squid Hub Model: 26-211 Catalog #: 26-211 This USB expansion cable connects to 2 USB ports in the back of my 27 inches iMac getting this way the aditional power needed for the TASCAM US-122 to work properly. Now I have connected a Yamaka keyboard through the midi input, and also have attached a gibson electric guitar and a microphone to the TASCAM US-122 and am using Garage Band. Everything works fine. You can find a picture of this cable in the following link= Hope this helps.
